DRAW Dufferin Residents Association - Jacob H., James F

Jacob and James with DRAW’s new logo

The Dufferin Resident’s Association of Winnipeg (DRAW), is working to build a safe, clean, and nurturing community for everyone that lives, works and goes to school in the neighbourhood. This means addressing issues around safety, housing, and education. A big part of that work involves reaching out to the people of Dufferin, sharing news and resources, and bringing the community together.

With this challenge in mind, DRAW met with Spark. DRAW wanted a new look for their communications, something that would represent who they are, and that they could use for all their channels of community outreach. It was also important that the solution could quickly and easily be put into use by all their staff and volunteers.

To meet this challenge, Spark matched DRAW with three volunteers: Creative director Kevin Guenther and designers Darcee Lytwyn and Jacob Howie. In consultation with DRAW, they developed a new logo for the organization, as well as templates for DRAW’s newsletter, business cards, posters, post cards, and letterhead. Noteworthy about these templates is that they are editable in Word. This means all DRAW staff and volunteers can start using these tools right away, using a program they are already familiar with.
