The Volunteer Manitoba Awards are less than one month away! They are going to look a little different this year but make sure to tune into Facebook Live on November 18th to join in on celebrating volunteerism in Manitoba.
Today we are profiling nominee Cecilly Hildebrand!
Cecilly has been nominated for the 2020 Spark Outstanding Pro Bono Consultant Award for donating her photography skills to update the Jubilee Fund’s marketing materials.
Many people know Cecilly as the Executive Director of Candace House, a nonprofit that offers a comforting and safe space for victims and survivors of crime that are navigating the court process.
But Cecilly is also an accomplished photographer, who had her own photography business.
The Jubilee Fund is a local registered charity, and an ethical investment fund that provides loan guarantees and bridge financing to non-profits and social enterprises. That money is then used for community-based projects that reduce poverty and financial exclusion.
Cecilly approached the match wanting to visit some of the organizations that the Jubilee Fund works with, in order to gain a thorough understanding of what their “brand” was.
After some careful planning, she made visits to four Jubilee Fund projects in one day.
Cecilly displayed excellent leadership and “ensured with each location we visited that all angles were captured, all landmarks were captured, and all people were captured that were intended to be.”
Congratulations on your nomination, Cecilly! Thank you for volunteering your photography skills to freshen up the marketing materials of a well-loved Winnipeg institution.
