Manitoba League of Persons with Disabilities - Richard D., Jennifer S2.

The Manitoba League of Persons with Disabilities (MLPD) has started work on a new project that would see them develop a fee-for-service program, offering accessibility consultation services. This new initiative aims to support the implementation of the 2013 Accessibility for Manitobans Act, which will make the delivery of both public and private sector services barrier-free by October 2018.

Spark matched their MLPD Provincial Coordinator Jennifer Sande with Richard Dilay, the long-time Manager of Neighbourhoods Alive, now an organizational effectiveness consultant. With Richard’s experience and guidance, Jennifer has drafted a proposal and applied for funding that will allow the MLPD to move this project ahead.
